Good news for developers who want to get the cross-platform application and user interface framework from Nokia. Because Nokia has just launched the latest SDK for QT. Developers can access the Qt which was created in order to they can use it on the desktop, mobile phone, or other tools that are planted OS without having to re-write the source code.

Anyone can download Qt SDK 1.1 since Thursday. The new SDK uses Qt 4.7 version so that we can develop it for Smartphones that use the same software. Previous developers have difficulty because of the need to use a separate version.

Nokia has sold Qt license to Finland Company, Digia. And according to an agreement, 3,500 customers of desktop or other tools that embedded Qt will be redirected to Digia. This is done, because Nokia want to focus on the utilization of Windows Phone as OS for smartphones. With the Qt license obtained, Digia can smooth over their plans to embed Qt on the desktop and embedded system. Moreover, according to Digia, the plan is very promising to see its potential. Nokia also are conducting the process so that the development of Qt can be done to anyone.

You can download the Qt SDK for Windows, Linux, or Mac OS X. However, Nokia has yet to give an announcement when the final version will be sent; however, the Qt SDK has been released now is a great move for the refinement of the final version.
